Engaging Our Community: Listening, Learning, and Building Together

At Charm City Garden Montessori: A Wildflower School, we believe that strong schools are built in partnership with strong communities. Throughout February, our team has been canvassing neighborhoods on the west side of Baltimore City, engaging in meaningful conversations with residents about their needs, hopes, and visions for their communities. These discussions not only help us understand the challenges and aspirations of the families we seek to serve but also allow us to share our mission of creating a student-centered, nature-based Montessori high school that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a deep connection to the world around us.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative educational environment that reflects the voices of our community. If you’d like to connect with us and be part of the conversation, we’d love to hear from you!

building community through service: our first day at the allendale produce giveaway

On January 25, 2025, the Allendale Community Association graciously welcomed us to volunteer at their monthly produce giveaway, an event dedicated to ensuring families have access to fresh, nutritious food. Alongside local volunteers, we helped distribute produce to residents while engaging in meaningful conversations about Charm City Garden Montessori School (CCGMS).

As we passed out food, we also shared opportunities for community members to help shape the mission and vision of CCGMS. Our goal is to create a school that reflects the needs and aspirations of Baltimore City families, and connecting with the Allendale community was a vital step in that journey.

We are deeply grateful for the warm reception and look forward to building lasting partnerships that empower and uplift our city. If you’re interested in learning more about CCGMS or getting involved, reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
